Kevin Patrick Covais (born May 30, 1989) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for being a finalist on the fifth season of the television show American Idol.

Kevin Covais was born in Levittown, New York. He attended Island Trees High School and was involved in various school activities, including the drama club and choir. Covais has type 1 diabetes, which he was diagnosed with at the age of eleven.

American Idol[edit | edit source]

Covais gained national recognition as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol in 2006. He was 16 years old at the time and became known for his distinctive voice and charming personality. Covais was eliminated from the competition in the top 12 round.

After his stint on American Idol, Covais pursued a career in both music and acting. He has appeared in several television shows and films, including College and Touch. Covais has also released music and continues to perform live.
