Laboratório Nacional De Energia E Geologia (LNEG) is a research institute based in Portugal. It is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of energy and geology, with a particular focus on sustainable development and the responsible use of natural resources.

The Laboratório Nacional De Energia E Geologia was established in 2006, following the merger of two previous institutions: the National Laboratory of Energy (LNE) and the National Laboratory of Geology and Mining (LNGM). The aim of this merger was to create a unified body capable of addressing the complex challenges associated with energy production and geological exploration in the 21st century.
