Lewis Marc Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He gained widespread recognition in 2018 with his breakthrough single "Someone You Loved", which topped the UK Singles Chart and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Capaldi's debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, was released in 2019 and became one of the best-selling albums of the year.

Lewis Capaldi was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and raised in Whitburn, West Lothian. He is of Scottish and Italian descent. Capaldi showed an interest in music from a young age, learning to play the guitar and piano and writing his own songs by the age of 11.
