Lisa Staiano-Coico
Lisa Staiano-Coico is an American academic and administrator known for her contributions to higher education and public health. She has held several prominent positions in academia, including serving as the President of City College of New York (CCNY).

Lisa Staiano-Coico was born in Brooklyn, New York City. She earned her B.S. in biology from Brooklyn College and her Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.

Staiano-Coico began her academic career as a faculty member at Cornell University, where she served in various capacities, including as the Rebecca Q. and James C. Morgan Dean of the College of Human Ecology. During her tenure at Cornell, she focused on public health initiatives and community outreach programs.

In 2010, Staiano-Coico was appointed as the 12th President of the City College of New York. Her tenure at CCNY was marked by efforts to enhance the college's academic programs, increase student enrollment, and improve campus facilities.
