Notable Nazi Doctors

Josef Mengele

Karl Brandt

Herta Oberheuser

Herta Oberheuser was a physician at the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she conducted medical experiments on prisoners, including deliberately inflicting wounds to simulate combat injuries and testing the effects of various treatments.

Aribert Heim

Aribert Heim, known as "Dr. Death," was a doctor at the Mauthausen concentration camp. He conducted experiments on prisoners, including injecting toxic substances directly into the hearts of victims.

Sigmund Rascher

Sigmund Rascher was involved in high-altitude and freezing experiments at the Dachau concentration camp. His experiments were intended to benefit the Luftwaffe by determining how to treat pilots who had been exposed to extreme conditions.

Doctors' Trial

The Doctors' Trial was the first of the Nuremberg Military Tribunals held after World War II.
