Baozi, also known as bao, is a type of yeast-leavened filled bun in various Chinese cuisines. There are many variations in fillings (meat or vegetarian) and preparations, though the buns are most often steamed.
Idli[edit | edit source]
Idli is a type of savoury rice cake, originating from the Indian subcontinent, popular as breakfast foods in Southern India and among Indian-origin Tamils in Sri Lanka. The cakes are usually two to three inches in diameter and are made by steaming a batter consisting of fermented black lentils and rice.

Tamales are a traditional Mexican dish made of masa (a dough made from corn) that's filled with meats, cheese, or fruits, then wrapped in a corn husk and steamed.

Haggis is a savoury pudding containing sheep's pluck (heart, liver, and lungs); minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally encased in the animal's stomach and steamed.
