Catherine Lucy Hawking (born 2 November 1970) is an English journalist, novelist, educator, and philanthropist. She is the daughter of the theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking and writer Jane Hawking. Lucy is best known for her children's books, particularly the George series, which aims to explain complex scientific concepts in an accessible manner for young readers.
