Lydia W. S. Finley is an American biochemist known for her research in metabolism and cancer biology. She is a faculty member at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Education and Career[edit | edit source]

Lydia W. S. Finley completed her undergraduate studies in biochemistry at Harvard University. She then pursued her Ph.D. in biological sciences at Rockefeller University, where she conducted research on cellular metabolism. After completing her doctoral studies, she joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a postdoctoral fellow and later became a faculty member.

Finley's research focuses on the intersection of metabolism and cancer biology. Her work has contributed to understanding how metabolic pathways influence cell differentiation and tumorigenesis. She has published numerous papers on the role of metabolites in regulating gene expression and cell fate decisions.
