- Lyon County is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2010 census, the population was 25,857. Its county seat is Marshall. The county was formed in 1869 and named for General Nathaniel Lyon, who served in the Mexican-American War and the Civil War.

- Lyon County is located in the southwestern part of Minnesota. It is bordered by Yellow Medicine County to the north, Redwood County to the east, Murray County to the south, and Lincoln County to the west. The county's total area is 722 square miles, of which 715 square miles is land and 7.2 square miles is water.

Those of Hispanic or Latino origin made up 4.8% of the population.
