From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellnesspedia

Macroprolactin is an inactive form of the hormone prolactin bound to IgG found in a small proportion of the population. Macroprolactin is important, as some laboratory assays will detect it as prolactin, leading to a falsely elevated prolactin result leading to misdiagnosis.
