Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou (Greek: Μαριλίζα Ξενογιαννακοπούλου; born 1963) is a Greek politician who has served in various ministerial roles. She is a member of the Coalition of the Radical Left (SYRIZA) and previously a member of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK).

Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]

Mariliza Xenogiannakopoulou was born in Athens, Greece in 1963. She studied law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and continued her postgraduate studies in European law at the Université libre de Bruxelles.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Xenogiannakopoulou began her political career with the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK). She was first elected as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament in 2007.

Minister for Health and Social Solidarity[edit | edit source]

In 2009, she was appointed as the Minister for Health and Social Solidarity in the government of George Papandreou. During her tenure, she focused on reforming the healthcare system and addressing the financial crisis's impact on public health services. She served in this role until 2010.

Minister for Administrative Reform and e-Governance[edit | edit source]

In 2018, Xenogiannakopoulou was appointed as the Minister for Administrative Reform and e-Governance in the government of Alexis Tsipras. She held this position until 2019, working on modernizing the public administration and implementing e-governance initiatives.
