Mark Andrews (born September 6, 1995) is an American football tight end for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Oklahoma and was drafted by the Ravens in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Early life and high school[edit | edit source]

Mark Andrews was born in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, where he played high school football. During his high school career, he was a standout player, earning multiple accolades and setting school records.

College career[edit | edit source]

Andrews committed to play college football at the University of Oklahoma. During his time with the Sooners, he became one of the top tight ends in the country. In his junior year, he won the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation's top tight end. He finished his college career with 112 receptions for 1,765 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Professional career[edit | edit source]

Baltimore Ravens[edit | edit source]

Andrews was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round (86th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft. He quickly became a key player for the Ravens, known for his receiving ability and red-zone threat. In his rookie season, he recorded 34 receptions for 552 yards and three touchdowns.

In the 2019 season, Andrews had a breakout year, leading all NFL tight ends with 10 touchdown receptions. He was named to the Pro Bowl and was a crucial part of the Ravens' offense, which led the league in scoring.

Personal life[edit | edit source]

Andrews has Type 1 diabetes, which he was diagnosed with at the age of nine. Despite this, he has managed to excel at the highest levels of football, serving as an inspiration to many.
