Mark Braxton Rober (born March 11, 1980) is an American YouTuber, engineer, and inventor. He is known for his popular YouTube videos on popular science, do-it-yourself gadgets, and creative ideas. Rober's content often features elaborate science experiments and engineering projects.

Early life and education[edit | edit source]

Mark Rober was born in Orange County, California. He developed an interest in engineering and science at a young age. Rober attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.

NASA[edit | edit source]

Rober began his career as an engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). During his nine years at JPL, he worked on several projects, including the Mars Science Laboratory and the Curiosity rover. Rober contributed to the development of hardware for the rover and was involved in the mission's planning and execution.
