Methenolone acetate
Methenolone Acetate is a synthetic anabolic steroid with mild anabolic effects and very low androgenic effects. It is also known by the brand name Primobolan.
Chemical Structure[edit | edit source]
Methenolone Acetate is a derivative of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), with the chemical formula C22H32O3. It has a double bond between carbon atoms 1 and 2, which helps to stabilize the 3-keto group and increase the steroid's anabolic properties.
Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
Methenolone Acetate is a non-aromatizable steroid, meaning it does not convert to estrogen in the body. This makes it a popular choice among athletes who want to avoid the water retention and gynecomastia that can come with other steroids. It is also less likely to cause harsh side effects like hair loss, acne, and prostate enlargement.
Medical Uses[edit | edit source]
Methenolone Acetate has been used in the treatment of muscle wasting diseases, malnutrition, and long-term illness. It has also been used to promote weight gain in premature infants and children.
Side Effects[edit | edit source]
While Methenolone Acetate is considered one of the safer steroids, it can still cause side effects. These can include changes in cholesterol levels, liver damage, and suppression of natural testosterone production.
Legal Status[edit | edit source]
In many countries, Methenolone Acetate is classified as a controlled substance. This means it is illegal to buy, sell, or possess without a prescription.
