Michalina Wisłocka
Michalina Wisłocka (1 July 1921 – 5 February 2005) was a renowned Polish gynecologist, sexologist, and author of The Art of Loving (Sztuka kochania), a book that revolutionized the approach to sexuality in Poland during the late 20th century. Michalina Wisłocka was born in Lublin, Poland. She pursued her medical studies at the University of Warsaw, where she specialized in gynecology and obstetrics. Throughout her career, Wisłocka was dedicated to the advancement of women's health care and sexual education, often facing the challenges posed by the conservative societal norms and the political climate of Communist Poland.
In 1978, after years of struggle with censorship, she published The Art of Loving, a comprehensive guide to sexual health, relationships, and love.
