Ministry of Health and Social Services (Namibia)

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) is a government ministry in Namibia responsible for overseeing the public health system and social services in the country. The ministry's mission is to provide integrated, affordable, accessible, and quality health and social welfare services that are responsive to the needs of the population.

The Ministry of Health and Social Services was established following Namibia's independence in 1990. It was created to address the health and social welfare needs of the Namibian population, which had been neglected during the colonial era.

The MoHSS is headed by the Minister of Health and Social Services, who is appointed by the President of Namibia. The ministry is divided into several directorates, each responsible for different aspects of health and social services. These include:
