Molecular Oncology is a peer-reviewed open-access medical journal covering research in molecular oncology. The journal focuses on work that significantly advances understanding of disease processes leading to human tumour development and/or establishes novel concepts of clinical significance in diagnosis, prognosis, and prevention strategies. It is published by Wiley on behalf of the Federation of European Biochemical Societies. The journal occasionally publishes special issues focusing on specific topics. Although commissioned, they still undergo the usual evaluation procedure exerted by the journal. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2017 impact factor of 5.264.[1]
