National Geographic Partners was formed in 2015 when 21st Century Fox acquired a 73% stake in the National Geographic Society's media assets. This partnership aimed to expand the reach and impact of National Geographic's content. In 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox, including its stake in National Geographic Partners, making Disney the majority owner.
