History[edit | edit source]

NYITCOM was founded with the mission to enhance the availability of medical care by providing high-quality education in osteopathic medicine. Since its inception, the college has grown significantly, adding numerous programs and expanding its reach to Arkansas with the opening of its additional campus in 2016. The college boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including modern classrooms, laboratories, and a simulation center equipped with advanced technology for clinical training. The Arkansas campus further extends the college's reach, providing additional opportunities for students to engage in community health initiatives and rural medicine.

Students and faculty are involved in a wide range of research projects, focusing on areas such as biomedical sciences, public health, and clinical outcomes. The college encourages collaborative research efforts, fostering partnerships with other institutions and organizations to address complex health issues.
