In 2011, Motamed was appointed as the Editor in Chief of Food & Wine magazine. Under her leadership, the magazine won numerous awards and accolades for its innovative and engaging content. She was also responsible for launching the magazine's digital platform, which significantly increased its reach and influence.

After leaving Food & Wine, Motamed joined Time Inc. as its Director of Inspiration. In this role, she was responsible for identifying and developing new content and business opportunities across the company's portfolio of brands.
