Nothing Real
Nothing Real was a software company known for its high performance image compositing application, Shake. The company was founded in 1996 and was based in Los Angeles, California. It was acquired by Apple Inc. in 2002.

Nothing Real was founded in 1996 by Arnaud Hervas, who had previously worked at Softimage. The company's flagship product, Shake, was a high-end image compositing and visual effects software. Shake was widely used in the film industry, and was notable for its speed, flexibility, and high-quality output.
In 2002, Nothing Real was acquired by Apple Inc. The acquisition was part of Apple's strategy to expand its portfolio of professional video editing and compositing software. After the acquisition, Apple continued to develop and sell Shake, but eventually discontinued the product in 2009.

Shake was a high-end image compositing and visual effects software. It was used in the production of many Hollywood films, including The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Star Wars. Shake was known for its speed, flexibility, and high-quality output.

Despite the discontinuation of Shake, the influence of Nothing Real can still be seen in the film industry. Many of the features and technologies developed by Nothing Real have been incorporated into other software applications. In addition, many former Nothing Real employees have gone on to work at other leading software and film companies.
