Olga Troyanskaya
Olga Troyanskaya is a prominent computational biologist known for her contributions to the field of bioinformatics and systems biology. She is a professor at Princeton University and a member of the Simons Foundation's Flatiron Institute.

Troyanskaya received her B.S. degree in Computer Science and Biology from the University of Richmond. She then earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University.
Career[edit | edit source]
After completing her Ph.D., Troyanskaya joined the faculty at Princeton University, where she is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science and the Lewis-Sigler Institute for Integrative Genomics. She is also the Deputy Director for Genomics at the Flatiron Institute.
Research[edit | edit source]
Troyanskaya's research focuses on developing computational methods for understanding the complex interactions in biological systems. Her work involves the integration of diverse types of biological data to uncover the underlying mechanisms of disease and cellular function. She has made significant contributions to the development of algorithms for gene expression analysis, protein-protein interaction networks, and functional genomics.

Troyanskaya has received numerous awards for her contributions to computational biology, including the Overton Prize from the International Society for Computational Biology and the Blavatnik Award for Young Scientists.
