Oral Roberts University
Oral Roberts University (ORU) is a private Evangelical Christian university located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Founded in 1963 by evangelist Oral Roberts, the university is chartered by the state of Oklahoma and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. ORU is known for its integration of rigorous academic programs with a charismatic Christian faith. The university's mission is to develop whole leaders for the whole world through a unique Whole Person Education philosophy that emphasizes the importance of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit.

Oral Roberts University was established in 1963 by its namesake, Oral Roberts, a well-known evangelist and faith healer. The university was founded with the intention of providing a Christian education that integrates both academics and spiritual development. The campus was built with a distinctive futuristic architectural style, which includes the Prayer Tower, a landmark at the center of the campus.

The ORU campus is situated in the southeast part of Tulsa and covers over 263 acres. The architecture of the campus is notable for its modernist and futuristic designs, with the Prayer Tower serving as the focal point. Other significant buildings include the Learning Resources Center, the Mabee Center (an arena used for sporting events and concerts), and the Christ's Chapel. ORU offers more than 70 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate and doctoral degrees across various disciplines. ORU emphasizes a Whole Person Education, which seeks to develop students intellectually, spiritually, and physically.

The ORU Golden Eagles compete in the NCAA Division I as members of the Summit League. The university fields teams in a variety of sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis, and golf. The Mabee Center, one of the main athletic facilities on campus, hosts basketball games as well as other athletic and community events.

One of the university's notable programs is the ORU Missions and Outreach program, which sends students around the world to participate in missions work and community service. Additionally, ORU's Global Learning Center focuses on innovative educational technologies and global partnerships.
