Paeroa
Paeroa is a small town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is situated at the base of the Coromandel Peninsula, near the junction of the Ohinemuri River and the Waihou River. Paeroa is best known for its association with the popular New Zealand soft drink, Lemon & Paeroa (L&P).

Paeroa was originally settled by the Ngāti Hako and later by the Ngāti Tamaterā tribes. European settlers arrived in the late 19th century, and the town developed rapidly due to the discovery of gold in the nearby Karangahake Gorge and Waihi. The town became a service center for the surrounding farming and mining communities.

Paeroa is located approximately 20 kilometers south of Thames and 90 kilometers southeast of Auckland. The town is surrounded by fertile farmland and is close to the Kaimai Range and the Coromandel Range. The Hauraki Rail Trail, a popular cycling route, passes through Paeroa, attracting tourists to the area.

The economy of Paeroa is primarily based on agriculture, with dairy farming being the predominant industry. The town also benefits from tourism, particularly due to its proximity to the Karangahake Gorge and the Hauraki Rail Trail. The production of Lemon & Paeroa soft drink, although no longer manufactured in the town, remains a significant part of Paeroa's identity and heritage.
