Psychogenic pruritus

Psychogenic pruritus is a common manifestation of chronic anxiety, usually a localized itch, especially in the anogenital area.[1]:393,401[2]

The condition is often managed with drugs including H1-antihistamines, tricyclic antidepressants, tetracyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, antipsychotics, or benzodiazepines.[3]
