Rafael Moreno Valle
Rafael Moreno Valle (born June 30, 1968) is a Mexican politician affiliated with the National Action Party (PAN). He served as the Governor of Puebla from 2011 to 2017. Moreno Valle has been a prominent figure in Mexican politics, known for his work in public administration and his efforts to modernize the state of Puebla.

Rafael Moreno Valle was born in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico. He comes from a family with a strong political background; his grandfather, Rafael Moreno Valle, was also a prominent politician. Moreno Valle studied at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), where he earned a degree in Economics. He later pursued a Master's degree in Business Administration at the Harvard Business School.

Moreno Valle began his political career as a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served in various capacities, including as a federal deputy in the Chamber of Deputies and as a senator in the Senate of the Republic. In 2006, he switched allegiance to the National Action Party (PAN).
Governor of Puebla[edit | edit source]
Rafael Moreno Valle was elected as the Governor of Puebla in 2010, taking office on February 1, 2011. During his tenure, he focused on infrastructure development, education reform, and public security. Some of his notable projects include the construction of the Puebla Audi Plant, the establishment of the International Museum of the Baroque, and the modernization of the Puebla International Airport.

After completing his term as governor, Moreno Valle continued to be active in politics. He was considered a potential candidate for the presidency in the 2018 elections but ultimately did not run. He remained influential within the PAN and continued to advocate for various political and social issues.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Rafael Moreno Valle is married to Martha Erika Alonso, who also served as a politician and was elected as the Governor of Puebla in 2018. Tragically, both Moreno Valle and his wife died in a helicopter crash on December 24, 2018.
