Richard Bacon (broadcaster)
Richard Bacon (born 30 November 1975) is a British television and radio presenter. He is best known for his work on Blue Peter, a long-running BBC children's show, and his subsequent career in both radio and television broadcasting.

Richard Bacon was born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England. He attended Wheaton School and later studied at Nottingham Trent University, where he earned a degree in Business Studies.

Blue Peter[edit | edit source]
Bacon began his career in broadcasting as a presenter on the children's television show Blue Peter in 1997. However, his tenure on the show was cut short in 1998 when he was dismissed following revelations about his personal life.
Radio[edit | edit source]
After leaving Blue Peter, Bacon transitioned to radio. He worked for several stations, including Capital FM, Xfm, and BBC Radio 5 Live. At BBC Radio 5 Live, he hosted a variety of shows, including the late-night program "Richard Bacon's Beer & Pizza Club."
Television[edit | edit source]
Bacon has also had a successful career in television. He has presented numerous shows, including The Big Breakfast, Top of the Pops, and The Wright Stuff. In addition, he has hosted his own talk show, "Richard Bacon's Beer & Pizza Club," on ITV4.

In addition to his work in radio and television, Bacon has written for various publications, including The Guardian and The Independent. He has also been involved in several charitable activities and campaigns.

Richard Bacon is married to Rebecca McFarlane, and the couple has two children. He has been open about his struggles with addiction and has used his platform to raise awareness about mental health issues.
