Ridgewood is a village located in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. It is situated approximately 20 miles northwest of Manhattan, making it a popular residential area for commuters. Ridgewood was founded in 1894 and has since become known for its charming downtown area, excellent schools, and beautiful residential neighborhoods.

Ridgewood covers a total area of 5.81 square miles, with 5.80 square miles of land and 0.01 square miles of water. It is located in the northeastern part of Bergen County, bordered by the towns of Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Paramus, and Wyckoff. The village is situated at an elevation of 105 feet above sea level.

According to the 2020 United States Census, Ridgewood has a population of 25,112 people. The population density is 4,326.2 inhabitants per square mile. The racial makeup of the village is predominantly White (85.6%), followed by Asian (9.7%), Hispanic or Latino (3.2%), African American (1.1%), and other races.
