Rod Rohrich
Rod Rohrich is an internationally known plastic surgeon, educator, and innovator. He is recognized as one of the most influential and innovative plastic surgeons in the world, specializing in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Rohrich was born and raised in North Dakota. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of North Dakota and the Baylor College of Medicine respectively. He received further training in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center and pediatric plastic surgery at Oxford University in England.
Career[edit | edit source]
Rohrich joined the faculty of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in 1986. He served as the chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery from 1991 to 2014. He has also served as president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the largest organization of board certified plastic surgeons in the world.
Rohrich's work focuses on facelifts, rhinoplasty, and breast augmentations, as well as complex reconstructive surgery. He is known for his innovative techniques and for his contributions to the advancement of plastic surgery procedures and patient safety.

Rohrich has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the field of plastic surgery, including the Plastic Surgery Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award. He has been recognized as one of the best doctors in Dallas and the United States, and has been featured in multiple media outlets for his expertise.

Rohrich is a prolific author and has published over 600 peer-reviewed articles and multiple textbooks on plastic surgery. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery journal.
