Sam Brand (cyclist)
Sam Brand (born 27 February 1991) is a Manx professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI ProTeam Team Novo Nordisk. He is known for being one of the few professional cyclists who competes while managing type 1 diabetes.

Sam Brand was born on the Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown dependency in the Irish Sea. He grew up on the island and developed an interest in cycling at a young age. Brand was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 10, which significantly influenced his career and life choices.

Brand began his competitive cycling career in local races on the Isle of Man. His early successes in these events led him to pursue a professional career in cycling. He joined the Team Novo Nordisk Development Team in 2015, a team specifically composed of athletes with diabetes.

In 2018, Brand was promoted to the main Team Novo Nordisk squad, competing in various international races.
