Sergeant Bluff, IA

Sergeant Bluff is a city located in Woodbury County, Iowa, United States. It is part of the Sioux City, IA-NE-SD Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is named after Sergeant Charles Floyd, the only member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition to die on the journey.

Sergeant Bluff is located at 42°24′17″N 96°21′33″W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.80 square miles, all land.

As of the 2010 United States Census, there were 4,227 people, 1,394 households, and 1,097 families residing in the city.
