- Sheridan is a city located in Yamhill County, Oregon, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a total population of 6,127. The city is located in the western part of the state, in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range. It is approximately 56 miles southwest of Portland, Oregon's largest city.

- Sheridan was named in 1866 after the Civil War General Philip Henry Sheridan. The city was incorporated in 1880 and has a rich history tied to the timber industry.

- Sheridan is located in the western part of Yamhill County, along the South Yamhill River. The city is surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards, and farmland.
