Sioux County, North Dakota[edit | edit source]

Sioux County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 4,153. Its county seat is Fort Yates. The county was created in 1914 and later organized in 1915. It is located on the south central edge of North Dakota and is named after the Native American Sioux tribe.

The hospital has 12 beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Sioux County has a higher percentage of individuals without health insurance compared to the state average. As of 2019, approximately 22% of Sioux County residents under the age of 65 did not have health insurance, compared to the state average of 8%.
