With the scientific name of Fritillaria meleagris, snakehead is a showy perennial plant of marshlands of eastern and central North America having waxy lanceolate leaves and flower with lower part creamy white and upper parts pale pink to deep purple. It is a Eurasian species of flowering plant in the lily family Liliaceae.
