Southeast Fairbanks Census Area is a census area located in the U.S. state of Alaska. As of the 2020 census, the population was 6,808. The census area is part of the Unorganized Borough and therefore has no borough seat. The largest community is Deltana.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the census area has a total area of 25,259 square miles (65,420 km²), of which 24,818 square miles (64,270 km²) is land and 441 square miles (1,140 km²) (1.7%) is water.

The economy of Southeast Fairbanks Census Area is primarily based on subsistence hunting and fishing, agriculture, and tourism. The area is known for its wilderness and outdoor recreational opportunities.

The census area is served by the Alaska Gateway School District and the Delta/Greely School District.
Transportation[edit | edit source]
Transportation in the area is primarily by road, with the Alaska Highway and the Tok Cut-Off being major routes. There are also several airports and airstrips that provide access to more remote areas.
