Southeastern Grocers was formed in 2013 when BI-LO purchased Winn-Dixie. In 2015, the company filed for bankruptcy and restructured, closing several stores in the process. Despite these challenges, Southeastern Grocers has remained a significant player in the supermarket industry.

Southeastern Grocers operates over 500 stores across seven states in the Southeastern United States. These states include Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The company employs over 45,000 associates.
