Sudarshan Gautam was born in Ramechhap District, Nepal. At the age of 14, he lost both of his arms in an accident involving an electrical cable. Gautam pursued his education in Nepal before moving to Canada in 2007. In Canada, he continued to advocate for people with disabilities and became involved in various community activities. In 2013, Sudarshan Gautam made history by becoming the first person without arms to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
