TGV Lyria

TGV Lyria is a subsidiary of both the French National Railway Company (SNCF) and the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB-CFF-FFS). It operates TGV services between France and Switzerland.

TGV Lyria was originally known as TGV trains between France and Switzerland, and was rebranded as TGV Lyria in 2002. The company is owned 74% by SNCF and 26% by SBB-CFF-FFS.

Services[edit | edit source]

TGV Lyria operates high-speed trains from France to Switzerland, serving major cities such as Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Zurich, Geneva, and Lausanne. The trains are capable of reaching speeds of up to 320 km/h.

Rolling Stock[edit | edit source]

TGV Lyria uses a fleet of TGV Duplex trains, which are double-deck high-speed trains. These trains are equipped with modern amenities such as power outlets, Wi-Fi, and a bar-buffet car.

Ticketing and Reservations[edit | edit source]

Tickets for TGV Lyria can be purchased online, at train stations, or through authorized travel agencies. Reservations are mandatory for all TGV Lyria trains.

Onboard Services[edit | edit source]

TGV Lyria offers three classes of service: Standard, Standard 1ère (First Class), and Business 1ère. Amenities vary by class, but all passengers have access to the bar-buffet car, where they can purchase food and beverages.
