Taco Cabana has undergone several ownership changes throughout its history. In 2000, it was acquired by Carrols Restaurant Group, which also owns the Burger King franchise. In 2021, Taco Cabana was sold to Yadav Enterprises, a franchisee of Jack in the Box and Denny's.
