Tenet Healthcare Corporation is a for-profit multinational healthcare services company based in Dallas, Texas, United States. It was founded in 1969 and has since expanded through major acquisitions and formations. The company operates 65 hospitals and over 450 healthcare facilities through its brands, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partnerships, including United Surgical Partners International (USPI). Tenet also operates Conifer Health Solutions, which provides healthcare support services to health systems and other clients.
Tenet Healthcare is traded as a public company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and is a component of the S&P 400 index. The company's executive chairman is Ronald Rittenmeyer, and the CEO is Saum Sutaria, M.D.
In 2020, Tenet Healthcare recorded a revenue of $17.64 billion, with an operating income of $1.99 billion and a net income of $399 million. The company's assets were valued at $27.11 billion, and its equity was $937 million. Tenet Healthcare has approximately 102,000 employees as of 2021.
