- Toa Alta is a municipality located in the northern part of Puerto Rico, nestled in the Northern Coastal Valley region. Established in 1751, it is known as "La Cuna de Poetas" or "Cradle of Poets" due to the numerous writers, poets, and playwrights born in this city.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Toa Alta is bordered by the municipalities of Dorado to the west, Vega Alta to the north, Corozal and Naranjito to the south, and Toa Baja to the east. The city is divided into several barrios, including Toa Alta barrio-pueblo, Contorno, Galateo, Mucarabones, Ortiz, Piñas, Quebrada Cruz, Quebrada Negrito, Río Lajas, and Santa Rosa.
