Toon Disney was an American pay television channel that was owned by The Walt Disney Company. The channel was launched on April 18, 1998, and primarily aired animated television series. It was a spin-off of the Disney Channel, and its programming mainly consisted of animated series and movies from Walt Disney Television Animation.

Toon Disney was launched on April 18, 1998, as a channel dedicated to animated programming. The channel was created to provide a platform for Disney's extensive library of animated series and movies. It initially featured classic Disney animated series such as DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, and Darkwing Duck.

In 2004, Toon Disney introduced the Jetix programming block, which featured action-oriented animated series. This block included shows like Power Rangers, Digimon, and Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!. The introduction of Jetix significantly increased the channel's viewership and expanded its target audience.

On February 13, 2009, Toon Disney was replaced by Disney XD, a new channel that combined the programming of Toon Disney and the Jetix block. Disney XD was aimed at a slightly older audience and included a mix of live-action and animated programming.
