History[edit | edit source]

Jetix was launched in 2004 as a rebranding of the Fox Kids network, which had been acquired by The Walt Disney Company in 2001. The rebranding was part of Disney's strategy to create a unified global brand for its children's television channels. Jetix operated in various regions, including North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

In 2009, Jetix was gradually replaced by Disney XD, a new channel aimed at a similar demographic but with a stronger focus on action and adventure programming. The transition was completed by the end of 2009, and Jetix ceased to exist as a separate brand.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

Although Jetix no longer exists as a separate brand, its impact on children's television remains significant. Many of the shows that aired on Jetix continue to have a dedicated fan base and are available on various streaming platforms. The transition to Disney XD allowed Disney to continue catering to the same audience while introducing new content and expanding its reach.
