Total enclosure fetishism
Total enclosure fetishism is a form of sexual fetishism where an individual derives sexual arousal from the experience of being completely enclosed, usually in some kind of clothing or gear. This can include a variety of materials and objects, such as latex, rubber, PVC, leather, spandex, and even plastic wrap or duct tape. The fetish is often associated with bondage and BDSM, but it can also be enjoyed independently of these practices.
Overview[edit | edit source]
Total enclosure fetishism is a subset of fetishistic disorder, which is classified by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders as a type of paraphilia. Paraphilias are sexual interests in objects, situations, or individuals that are atypical or extreme. In the case of total enclosure fetishism, the object of interest is the sensation of being completely enclosed or restricted.
The fetish can take many forms, depending on the individual's specific interests. Some people may enjoy the sensation of being wrapped tightly in materials like latex or plastic wrap, while others may prefer the feeling of wearing a full-body suit or costume. The enclosure can also involve additional elements of bondage or restriction, such as gags, blindfolds, or handcuffs.
Psychological Aspects[edit | edit source]
The psychological aspects of total enclosure fetishism can vary widely from person to person. For some, the fetish may be linked to a desire for sensory deprivation or a feeling of security. For others, it may be associated with feelings of humiliation or submission. The fetish can also be a form of body modification, with the enclosure serving to reshape or transform the body in some way.
