Traci Des Jardins is a renowned American chef based in San Francisco, California. She is best known for her expertise in French and Mexican cuisine, and her contributions to the culinary world have earned her numerous awards and recognition.

Traci Des Jardins was born and raised in Firebaugh, California. Her love for cooking was influenced by her Mexican-French Acadian grandparents who were farmers. She later moved to France to train under some of the world's most renowned chefs.

Des Jardins began her culinary career in Los Angeles, working in the kitchens of famous restaurants such as L'Orangerie and Patin. She then moved to France where she honed her skills under the tutelage of renowned chefs like Alain Senderens, Alain Ducasse, and Joël Robuchon.

In 1998, Des Jardins opened her own restaurant, Jardinière, in San Francisco, which quickly became one of the city's top dining destinations. She later opened several other successful restaurants including Mijita, Public House, and Arguello.

Des Jardins has received numerous awards throughout her career. She was named "Rising Star Chef of the Year" by the James Beard Foundation in 1995, and won the title of "Best Chef: Pacific" from the same organization in 2007. She has also been a competitor and judge on the popular cooking show, Top Chef.
