Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate
Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate (also known as Parabolan) is a synthetic, injectable anabolic steroid used primarily by bodybuilders and athletes to enhance muscle growth and performance. It is a derivative of nandrolone, but unlike nandrolone, it has a hexahydrobenzylcarbonate ester attached, which extends its half-life.
Chemical Structure[edit | edit source]
Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate is a modified form of nandrolone. The structure of trenbolone is a 19-nor classification, which represents a structural change of the testosterone hormone. It is referred to as 19-nor as it lacks the 19th carbon that is typically part of testosterone.
Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate is a slow-acting injectable ester of the potent anabolic steroid trenbolone. Trenbolone appears most commonly as trenbolone acetate, which is a much faster-acting form of the drug. The hexahydrobenzylcarbonate ester used here extends the release of trenbolone for more than 2 weeks, which has always been thought of as more suitable for human use due to the less frequent injection schedule.
Uses[edit | edit source]
Trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate is used in veterinary medicine in livestock to increase muscle growth and appetite. In humans, it is used for its muscle-building and fat-burning properties, but it is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use in humans in the United States.
Side Effects[edit | edit source]
Like other anabolic steroids, trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate can have severe side effects, such as liver toxicity, cardiovascular disease, and reproductive and hormonal disorders. It can also have psychological effects, such as aggression, mood swings, and insomnia.
Legal Status[edit | edit source]
In the United States, trenbolone hexahydrobenzylcarbonate is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act. Possession or distribution without a prescription is a crime.
