Uganda Christian University
Uganda Christian University (UCU) is a private university located in Mukono, Uganda. Established in 1997 by the Anglican Church of Uganda, it is one of the leading institutions of higher education in the country, known for its commitment to academic excellence and Christian values. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various disciplines, including Law, Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, Science and Technology, and Health Sciences.

Uganda Christian University was founded through the efforts of the Anglican Church of Uganda, aiming to provide quality higher education rooted in Christian ethics and values. It was officially opened on 26th October 1997, with its main campus in Mukono, approximately 21 kilometers east of the capital city, Kampala. The institution was built on the site of the historic Bishop Tucker Theological College, reflecting its deep roots in theological education.
Campuses[edit | edit source]
The main campus of UCU is located in Mukono, but the university has since expanded to include other campuses to cater to a growing number of students. These include:
- The Kampala Campus, which offers evening and weekend programs for working professionals.
- The Mbale Campus, focusing on serving students in the eastern region of Uganda.
- The Arua Campus, established to provide higher education opportunities in the northern regions of the country.

UCU offers a variety of programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The faculties include:
