University of Mainz
University of Mainz (officially known as Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, JGU) is a public research university located in Mainz, Germany. It was founded in 1477, making it one of the oldest universities in Germany. Named after the inventor of the movable-type printing press, Johannes Gutenberg, the university has a strong tradition in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, but it is also renowned for its research and education in the field of medicine.
