University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) is a public university located in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. It was established in 1975 as the University College, Port Harcourt, and was given university status in 1977. The institution is one of the leading higher education institutions in Nigeria, known for its strong programs in the arts, humanities, science, and medicine.
