War Machine (born Jonathan Paul Koppenhaver on November 30, 1981) is an American former mixed martial artist who competed in the welterweight division. He is known for his time in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA.

Early life[edit | edit source]

War Machine was born in Simi Valley, California. He had a troubled childhood and faced numerous challenges growing up. He eventually found solace in martial arts, which led him to pursue a career in mixed martial arts.

Mixed Martial Arts Career[edit | edit source]

War Machine made his professional MMA debut in 2004. He gained recognition for his aggressive fighting style and his ability to finish fights. He competed in various promotions, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Bellator MMA.
